Dear Parents,
Welcome to S.A.R.A., Substance Abuse Reduction Alliance. This blog has been developed for you.
S.A.R.A. is a coalition that has been developed by the Prosperity Social and Community Development Group, Inc. The goal of S.A.R.A. is to educate youth in Broward County about the dangers of drug use. We have partnered with Broward County Public Schools, police agencies, local churches, and other groups. We work with middle school and high school students.
Youth cannot be educated about the dangers of drug use without involving their parents. That is why we have included you. We are going to provide you with information and resources that will help you educate your children. Our hope is to assist you in guiding your child to make healthy choices in friends, and for them to have knowledge about how drugs can ruin their life or end it.
The blog will be published twice a month. We welcome comments, suggestions, and questions. We want you to be involved.
We look forward to providing information for you and helping you and your children in any way that we can.
